Early
intervention is preventative work and is
the key to success. A pre-school child
presenting with difficulties is likely
to cause concern because of a delay in
speech and / or language acquisition, a
delay in motor development, or behavioural
difficulties. Identification and assessment
provides parents with information about
management and appropriate play group,
nursery and school provision.
