All
schools by law are obliged to have an anti-bullying
policy and yet, because bullying thrives
on secrecy, much bullying can go unnoticed.
Bullies and victims share much in common
and both are in need of help. Victims invariably
have a profile of vulnerable characteristics
which, through appropriate help can be
turned into qualities of assertiveness
and resilience. Once a child is identified
as a victim of bullying, it is wise to
seek immediate help.
