My Clients

Many of my Clients come through personal recommendation.
Clients come predominantly from five different groups.

Parents who are seeking advice about their son or daughter’s difficulty with learning, behaviour, friendships, self esteem or a combination of these difficulties, approach me for help. Parents may have concerns that they wish to address that they wish to address about their parenting skills or about relationships within their family as a whole.
Adults who are seeking therapeutic help to address difficulties such as low mood, depression, anxiety, phobia, low self esteem, social isolation, relationship difficulties, anger and childhood abuse come to see me.

Schools refer individual pupils to me. State funded schools have access to a Schools Psychological Service which may offer a range of services including consultation with staff, work with individuals and groups of pupils, work with parents, carers and other agencies concerned for children and young people. Some Schools Psychological Services are unable to always meet the demands placed upon them and when this is the case, a Head Teacher or Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) may advise a parent to contact me about independent work. In some cases the school may refer a pupil to me and fund this work themselves.

Independent schools do not always have access to a Schools Psychological Service and where help and advice is needed, the Head Teacher or SENCo may contact me or again advise a parent to do so. I have worked in independent day schools in the North East and North West of England and in independent boarding schools across the country and in Scotland.

General Practitioners, Psychiatrists & Primary Mental Health Workers refer children and adolescents to me who have emotional and/or behavioural and/or learning difficulties. I also receive requests to meet with adults who would benefit from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
Solicitors ask me to undertake assessments of children, young people, adults and whole families to assist them in Family Law, Public Law and Personal Injury work. Solicitors also ask me to carry out therapeutic work with some of their clients. I work with a number of solicitors firms throughout the country.
